Acrobatics

You always have to be a supporter of new things, try what you always wanted and could never be done, or simply try new things. When you finally cross that line of trying, the hardest thing is to do it. In the case of acrobatics it is complicated, depending on the discipline, concentration and the physical, the physical is one of the most complicated things, because if you do not have enough strength it will cost you a lot at first; but do not give up, the question is not to get frustrated and be negative because you are not perfect, calm, breathe, and look for that perfection because it is the interesting thing of EVERYTHING.

Acrobatics is the most beautiful and dangerous as it has been known, among other things in this world. The acrobatics comes from the Greek akros, "tall," and bat, "walking," that is, "walking on tiptoe"; It is a sporting activity and also a performing art that involves balance, agility and coordination.

There are a series of events that occurred in history that highlights the practice of acrobatics. Already in the days of the Greek myths, of the Mycenaean and Minoan civilizations in the year 2000 a. C. approximately, the acrobatics enjoyed great popularity: very exceptional is the jump on bulls, practiced in Crete, which had a religious character. The gymnast jumped over the bull's head (perhaps using the horns as handles to give himself momentum) and circled the animal's back.

It is possible to assume that in every epoch there have been saltimbanquis: Acrobats are already appearing in Homer enlivening a banquet (Odyssey 4, 10). Also later the acrobatics served to entertain the diners of the symposia. The girls had the possibility to follow a training with that objective.

In a pitcher in Naples a young man is shown who dances, jumps and evolves to the sound of a flute music through upright daggers; on a bedside table in the center her friend is about to empty a cup of wine while she arches over the bowl leaning on her forearms. In another glass a satyr is prone upside down to drink from a wine pipe. The bridge is often depicted, especially in the form of a bronze handle, quite gracefully.

In the Middle Ages in Europe, squares and palaces served as an impromptu stage for saltimbanquis, histriones, volatineros and prestidigitators who mixed with charlatans, minstrels and puppets, showed their acrobatics between songs, farces and other activities of very varied nature.

Although at first the term was applied to walk on the tightrope, in the 19th century, an art form that included gymnasts and circus acts began to use this term as well. At the end of the 19th century, somersaults and other acrobatic and gymnastic activities became competitive sports, until later joining various Olympic events.

And in China, the acrobatics had been a part of the culture since the Han Dynasty, about 2500 years ago, when the acrobatics were part of the village harvest festivals. During the Tang Dynasty, acrobatics saw the same kind of development as European ones during the Middle Ages in the courts between the 7th and 10th centuries as a dominant practice.

After mastering the acrobatics I decided to go further, the aerial acrobatics. and with this I do not say that I participate in a circus like the circus du soleil (circus which I admire), but that little by little the whole art is being mastered, so that maybe one day the art in the world is renewed without losing the Essence of its origin. Air lyre is the art I will show you today, which is considered one of the most difficult arts among the air. I've been training for a few months, and it costs me too much, but I breathe and continue. Then I leave some photos practicing this art.

"When something catches your attention, you continue, when you like it, you try hard, when you are passionate about it, you perfect it and make it part of your life, no matter how much it takes you, in the end what have you been doing with the rest of your life?" Att: Ariana G.!
