Vector images have a term commonly called a point. The point is that each point (node) is connected to each other to make certain shapes. The point can be added, deleted, or moved by the line path to make certain shapes as desired.

Vector images will not blur or break when zoomed. The original size will be maintained without any loss of quality at all.
Vector
Vector images allow users to maintain the quality of their design in various formats and resolutions. In vector files, each point, line, and shape are created completely measurable.
Vector images will not be blurred or broken, either reduced or enlarged, their size and quality will remain well preserved.
In graphic design, vectors are commonly used to create:
- Logo
- Icon
- Illustration
- Infographics
- Fonts
- Pattern
- Element on the website page
- Business cards, brochures, posters, etc.
Vector images are perfect for print, because the quality of the colors on the screen will remain the same when printed on a printer (on paper, books, or other print media).
Because in general vector images use CMYK color format (cyan, magenta, yellow and key (black)). While raster images usually use RGB color format (red, green and blue). Although the actual use of color format in graphic design software is optional or tailored to certain conditions.
Software commonly used for vector design is:
Adobe Illustrator (paid - best and most popularly used, can be combined with Photoshop)
CorelDRAW (paid - the most popular alternative)
Inkscape (free - available for Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX)
Sketch (paid - specifically for Apple Macintosh OS)
Affinity (paid - specifically for Apple Macintosh OS)
Vector image file format:
AI - The file format of Adobe Illustrator
EPS - (Encapsulated PostScript) which also belongs to Adobe
SVG - (Scalable Vector Graphics) is a standard vector file of the W3C organization for website needs
DXF - (Drawing eXchange Format) is a standard file format from Autodesk's AutoCAD program
vector art is fun!
