This will be the start of me sharing a journey into the art of ceramic glazes. I'm a Venezuela-Canadian artist living in Montreal. I landed in Canada in 2004 and began a trippy and very challenging career in ceramic glazing.
It's an incredibly complex and capricious medium, where earth's elements and high heat combine at just the exact ratios and time, to create these amazing colors and textures while melting and cooling.
It began in 2004 when I worked for a mosaic company for 15 years at the glazing department. I learned and honed some skills and now I own a small art studio in Montreal "arkstudio.ca" where I hand glaze these tiles.
The journey will be mostly visual, with some insights and commentary. So, sit back relax and enjoy some amazing tile art!!

Este es el inicio de compartir mi viaje dentro del mundo de los esmaltes ceramicos. Soy un artista Venezolano-Canadiense, viviendo en Montreal. Aterrize en Canada en el 2004 y empece esta carrera del carajo y de grandes desafios.
Los esmaltes ceramicos son un medio increíblemente complejo y caprichoso, donde los elementos de la tierra y el calor intenso se combinan en las proporciones y el tiempo exactos para crear estos colores y texturas increíbles mientras se derriten y enfrían.
Comenzó en 2004 cuando trabajé para una empresa de mosaicos durante 15 años en el departamento de ceramicas donde aprendí y perfeccioné mis habilidades y técnicas. Ahora soy dueño de un pequeño estudio de arte "arkstudio.ca" donde esmalto estos azulejos a mano en Montreal.
El viaje será principalmente visual, con algunas ideas y comentarios. ¡Así que siéntese, relájese y disfrute de un increíble arte de azulejos!
