Nice pencil work, I can imagine how much time you spent for shading that, initially it looks not so much but the small details. That reminded me the quote: The devil is in the details

    Thanks. I did it on an A4 paper, so it wasn't that bad. To be honest, there were so many details I feel that I abandoned. I was planning on adding color to the face and belt, but it looked okay, so I called it a day.

      Agree black and white looks great, you can try pastel pencils they are better to blend and pure pigments :)
