Hello Steemians,
This is the small ballpoint sketch I've done a while ago. The video below shows how I usually approach such sketches. I don't do preliminary drawing with pencil first, I just draw with pen right off the bat. It doesn't mean I don't care about proportions and likeness, rather otherwise - I try to triangulate and make measurments mentally (sounds retarded, I know :) It's not easy in the beginning but later it brings strong confidence when you paint alla prima portrait from life and you really do want to capture likeness of your sitter. Hope you like it

Great to see the process you use for drawing with ballpoint pens. I´ve never tried myself but it looks like fun, even if it´s not as easy as it seems. I discovered great portraits in your posts, thank you for showing!

Thank you! It does feel like fun also, the ball in the tip allows draw lines and marks easily and smoothly, tactile feeling is close to the peincil drawing. Give it a try :)
