The Fancy SpaceCat painting - la Frabulinesque entoilure du chastronaute [ENG-FR]

Joking,
it's known to be a bit expensive, but as they are the tools I used every day, I find it a good investment ;-)

  • The advice I can give you is to buy only the colors you need if you are the kind like me to use only certain colors, a set is too expensive if you just use 3 or 4 colors of it...I personnally prefer to have only my favourite colors and buy them by unit...but first you have to find them individually;-) Do you have a creative shop in the nearby ..?

Ahh yeah, I am known to be visually challenged sometimes, so just a couple of colours will do just fine :)
Yeah, I think there is one nearby in the centre - what should I be looking for?

You ask for the Neocolor II from Caran d'Ache...the ones that are watersoluble (the Neocolor I are not, they are permanent wax) You choose the colors you like if they have them individually....In France, they cost between 1.40 to 1.60 euros each, frankly ,I don't consider this as an offense to my purse ;-) The colors are so intense and vivid, they are worthwhile (and so am I...)

That sounds good! I'll try to look for them over the weekend...how long does one colour last for you?

hard to tell....I would say months...you don't really need to put a lot of pigments on the sheet because it is very concentrated and rich in color, as you can see in my picture in the step by step ...I color roughly and not too heavy, it is just to deposit some pigments on the sheet, and then I dilute with a slightly wet brush (not too much water as I like the color to be dense and vivid, quite the contrary of a real watercolor work, if you see what I mean)
So in summary, it is not expensive if you have a great use of it and it lasts quite long (widely more than oil pastels that you lost a bit at each use...LoL)

Ok, thank you so much for this! It looks like I could just up my painting game :) Or possibly completely ruin my entire room :D Whatever, needs a new paint anyway...

Thanks again!
