Thanks so much for the encouragement @bashadow. Well I'd personally rather be 'addicted' to socialising on steem than facebook (didnt even want to write that name). But we humans are social beings so can we really call it 'being addicted'? Perhaps blockchain soial media will give us and are giving us a less guilty feeli g when socialising online. It's so difficult to find people to socialise with in the real world for me, people are very elusive and dont have time to hang out unless if it's people in their near vicinity and I live a bit further from the city. So Steemit sounds like a good place for me to make friends to intereact with regularly 😉 What do you think? What type of conversations are the most addictive? Hehe

It changes a lot for meas to what I am doing on steem block chain. When my wife first got me here it was because there was so much to read story wise, there still is a lot of great writers on Steem Block Chain and several of them are published Authors. So free reading material was what got me going first.
Then I found a small group of people that were starting a game, but non game up on Steem Block chain, that was the IFC. (Information Finding Championship run by @apolymask via his @ifc account). Through there I met a lot of people and had a lot of fun participating. It was also through there that I learned about Discord Chat, (that was both good and bad, in that I met even more people, bad in that it took a lot of time up).
For awhile I was also with a group of nice people that were trying to help new users find their way around Steem and learn how to use it. That was @newbieresteemday. Once again a place where I met a lot of very nice people. Both of those groups were more in the social aspect of the Steem Block Chain.
Then I got a nice camera, and got in the hobby of digital photography, lots of real people in the photography groups also, and most of the "more Professional one's" are willing to help and share how-to's on photography.
So addictive wise conversations things it is hard to pin down, I have just gotten to where I like the social side of steem. I do like the reward side also because that drives the social side. People need Steem Power to interact, with out that interaction there is no social side of steem.

Thanks for explaining @bashadow it really sounds like you've been having fun. I sure have a lot to learn here. I have been looking for the photography groups. There are so many I am not sure which ones to join? I kinda feel the same with Discord. Any tips as to how to go about finding ones 'vibe' (if I can call it that)?

Finding the different and various Photography groups can be a bit daunting at times. You can look through the tags #photo #photography, look at a few of the post that catch your eye, then look at what other tags they used in their post, or if they have any banners at the end of their post from some of the photo groups.
While not a photo group per say, the tag #wednesdaywalk is a very nice group of social people, the reason for the tag is to get people to go out once a week, take a walk and take some pictures of their walk and share the walk with other followers of the tag. It is run/managed by @tattoodjay. Some of the post can be quite extensive and some of them not so, but all of them are from people looking to share and have fun.
There are a few other various photo challenges/contest out there, that is also a place to sort of meet new users, but when it is a competition the focus of the participants are often for the rewards, not so much the interaction. (This is not true of all the contest, some have a core group that do interact with each other).
