BEASTLY TALES

THE BIG HOUSE PALACE

The other day I saw on the news,
An extraordinary thing that supports those views,
That many a politician is indeed corrupt,
Of course, no surprise there, conclusion is upped.
Yes, a past President is locked up in jail,
For over a decade, quite without bail,
Convicted of corruption indeed,
His followers this, do not heed,
They want him to run in the next election,
For President again! They want no other selection,
And so the appropriate paperwork is filled,
Just so his supporters can be quite thrilled.
So, supposing he successfully carried the vote,
Would he then from jail rule by rote?
Should he then again be accused of corruption,
He’d already be in jail, no political eruption!
His supporters declare his jail time “politically motivated.”
This being so, his jail times unabated.
But what about the image of running,
For President, from jail, very cunning.
How would he preside over a state visit?
Looking through bars just how would he quiz it?
Yes, how would he conduct the ceremony and pomp?
Would he, in prison clothes deferentially romp,
Whilst inspecting the honour guard,
Lined up outside in the prison yard.
It all seems to be a trifle absurd,
Rather unlikely from what we have heard.
But, in this day and age, you just never know,
A jail-bird for President might be just the go!
This highly unusual political thrill,
Is reportedly occurring in Brazil!

dear Richard surprise me every day, the theme of the release of President Lula describes it as always in an admirable and humorous way, it is still a big problem of quibbles and administrative bureaucracy and interpretable laws ... better laugh on it

Things certainly are stupid. Thanks Armando.

Nice and educative content
