On Steemit I've noticed that there are many new steemians which just signed up, which is great !! There are thousands of posts done every minute and as I go thru these posts, there are some really really good content out there, however I also see a lot of repetitive postings and a lot of what I would call it spam. Please do remember
the number of posts you do does not necessary reflect to larger earnings
However, if all your postings are relevant and content which interests your audience , you will surely gain proper following and whenever you post something, you get engagement. May be small at first however if you consistently do it, the engagement becomes more and your earnings will increase organically.

Honestly, I totally agreed with you @bitrocker2020 , especially those I just went to visit (out of curiosity) which posts are activated by @randowhale ; and found out that there's nothing but a youtube video and does not belong to the content poster !
Wouldn't it be more beneficial if we went to see it at YouTube ourselves??
That looks more like robbing off the block chain using other people's content.
And to make it funnier? That video was about crypto currency greed haha. I am beginning to wonder does that content creator know that he is slapping his own face with that video...

indeed @littlenewthings . how hard is it to copy and paste something and earn a few bucks out of it. its too tempting especially when @cheetah bot is unable to check on music or video plagiarism. Come to think about it .. its a new age of piracy !

True in may ways, so I guess either @cheetah bot can detect something out of that structure, or other systems like @randowhale will be able to detect posts that has nothing except a video content / limit the amount of people who can use the randowhale facility a day.
The spammer I detected has been vandalising this good system like 10-20 post a day, and everything is just one video.

Remember when Instagram was new? Everyone was taking pictures of EVERYTHING!! I was sorta guilty at first, then it settles in... that's just silly. I think we'll go through that here for a while, then the community will help sort it out. Nice art my friend!

Spam is a real problem on the art/drawing boards. It's easier to just find images on google and get votes & rep VS posting original work that took time and effort.
Artists need to support each other to cut through this.
Look at a users blog before voting if you haven't seen their work before, try to upvote ORIGINAL work, not just uncredited youtube & google images.

thats so true @groundcontrol .. so many stolen photos and pictures being reposted on steemit. only if there is a way where @cheetah can catch em. I know @nspart started a campaign to downvote pictures used without permission

It's only going to get worse if there's not some consensus to deal with it. It's annoying but it also takes steem and rep from genuine contributors.
We need a badge - Art Guild - or something which denotes these users are original content creators supporting the arts.
Get around each other and upvote, follow etc.

contests are fine if its carried out and well supported. i joined @papa-pepper Survival Games and its hell of a lot of fun for me that is. Loads of efforts required to put a game like that together which is much appreciated in the community. On the flip side you do have "Contest" which stats .. "Just upvote, follow and resteem and you get to win 5 SBD !!!!!" like wha ?????????
