There are so many highly skilled artists in the Steemit community. Block Mountain is most importantly a community-based project. We have the opportunity to involve the art community by hosting an ‘Album Cover Design Contest’.

Objective

---

Design the album cover for Block Mountain’s debut community-based music album.

Rules and Requirements

Step 1: Create a new post, include “Block Mountain Cover Submission” in the title of your post and use the first tag ‘#blockmountainart’.

Step 2: Must be original content. For example, if you're doing photo manipulation, the photos must be yours.

Note: Feel free to submit multiple submissions. Provided that your artwork qualifies, only one artwork per candidate will be chosen.

Make sure post falls within these requirements.

• Image size: 3000 x 3000 px.
• Resolution: Ideally 300 dpi; 72 dpi is the minimum accepted.
• Image Format: PNG.

Concept

Utilize the Block Mountain cover template as a guideline for your design.

Here’s an example of the direction we're aiming for.

To reiterate the concept of the cover design, use the medium and technique of your choice to more-or-less follow the outline of our template.

Deadline

---

Artwork submissions for Block Mountain will be open for approximately four weeks. It could be cut short or extended depending on whether the participant quota is met or not. Submitting sooner than later is recommended.

• We will be selecting multiple designs and those who qualify will receive an upvote from our sponsor, @sndbox.
• Additional rewards will be added to the reward pool over the next couple weeks. So we'll keep you updated!

What is our distribution strategy?

---

We will initially release the project on major blockchain platforms, as well as, press kits sent to major music blogs and cryptocurrency-based websites. Eventually, the project will be distributed to major streaming music services, i.e., iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon Music, Pandora, Tidal, etcetera.
