Hi friends, I would like to share with you my painting from September,
when I participated in the art colony "Pigmalion". The art colony was held in the village Tamnjanica on Suva planina (Dry mountain) in southern Serbia.
The painting symbolically represents the Old Slavic ritual which still exists in some parts of the Balkan Peninsula. The goal of the ritual is to cause rain during the dry summer months. In order to achieve this, young women and girls dance and sing songs to encourage the gods to let rain.

Zdravo prijatelji, hteo bih sa vama da podelim moju sliku iz Septembra kada sam učestvovao na likovnoj koloniji "Pigmalion". Likovna kolonija je održana u selu Tamnjanica na Suvoj planini u južnom delu Srbije.
Slika simbolično predstavlja staroslovenski običaj koji još uvek postoji u nekim delovima Balkanskog poluostrva. Cilj rituala je prizivanje kiše tokom sušnih letnjih meseci. Da bi se to postiglo, mlade žene i devojke su plesale i pevale pesme ne bi li umolile bogove da puste kišu.
