Being a lover of sci-fi movies, it was only natural that I choose District 9 as a specimen for painting :)
I loved the aliens in this movie.
And I chose to study 'Christopher Johnston' for my first alien portrait.
Painting with acrylic is so much fun! I love how stress-free it is... made a mistake? Just let it dry and paint over the top!
I am useless at watercolours for this reason as it is very unforgiving to mistakes.
And voila! The finished space prawn! :)
I still have this painting in my bedroom. After a year of relisting it at my Etsy shop. I decided I loved my Prawn too much to sell him :)
Custom orders may be requested for another installment however.
