Other upcoming issues: August 15 (Issue 2: Theme is suicide), Issue 3 is about interactions with authority figures and doesn't have a deadline yet.


Cornwall Zine Library Residency

Type: Zine residency
Where: The Cornwall Zine Library is housed in The Fish Factory in Penryn, U.K. It is an art space, with gallery walls, artist’s studios and a vegan café. Penryn is a small Cornish village along the river Fal running into the sea. There is a post office, two chip shops, a library, a bunch of artists and a couple of pubs.
What: Residencies for two zine makers to come, one week each, and make zines. The Fish Factory would provide you with a desk, access to dot matrix, riso printing, screen printing, a typewriter and stapler.
Pay: No-fee residency at the Fish, including a week's no-fee stay at The Art House in Falmouth nearby. You pay for your way there and back.
When: Two one-week zine residencies from May 19 – 26, and May 26 - June 2.

Switch Postcard Show


Type: Fundraiser for the Bi Arts Festival, a small festival serving the bisexual, pansexual and fluid communities, and allies
Pay: None
Submissions: Artists are invited to donate one original postcard-sized work (4 x 6 inches) in any medium, which will be sold to raise funds to support Festival programming, pay honorariums to filmmakers, artists, and authors, rent accessible space, and pay for ASL interpretation. The Bi Arts Festival celebrates bisexual lives and culture, in literature, film, art, dance, and more.
