Drawing of children, the process of how I did it a couple of years ago.

Good community I hope you are super well, this time and to initiate me in this great platform or community where there is a lot of talent that demonstrate it day by day in the variety of valuable information that with efforts the users highlight in their blog.

Without further ado I tell you that I did the drawing a couple of years ago, it goes without saying that I like to draw since I was a child I do it, is the way I have to distract and relax. Something as simple as a sheet of paper and a color, crayon, charcoal or any item that makes spots on a sheet of paper is enough entertainment for me.

Some time ago I arrived in Colombia for employment issues, I had a couple of offers, while those offers were consolidated I had a lot of free time in the residence, and like any artist I always carry sheets of paper and a couple of pencils. I have always liked to draw something realistic and this time I wanted a new challenge which was to draw two faces on the same sheet. a boy and a girl.

These are the materials I used to make the drawing:

  • a white cardboard

  • a pencil 6b ,4b, 2h

  • pencil

  • erasers, electric and moldable

  • Blurred pencils and brushes

To start the drawing, I do not say that like every artist because we all have different ways to start projects, I always start by the fit of the portrait, which is the same as saying that we are going to capture either smaller, equal size or larger size.

there is something I learned and I want to tell you is that although the drawing is a charcoal or graphite pencil is a grayscale painting, we draw and paint with charcoals that is a reality gentlemen. and after the lace we proceed to place some darker tones I remember that I had taken more captures of the process but as I said is something old drawing and I have lost a couple of them.

it is important to emphasize that the majority of the drawings that I have already made after the lace and the process of the perimeter of the drawing, to emphasize the blackest zones or of the drawing, or the darkest part of the drawing where we will use the pencil 6b, also we will use the lighter tones that the same detail will illustrate them.

the part of the lights is important since it gives a very artistic touch, and it is fundamental for this type of drawings, regarding the look and luminous details in the face.

The detail of the flannel and the watch, are they important? Yes, but I want to highlight the face a lot because that was the challenge I set myself, the idea is to improve with time.

It is always good to see what shadows or lights are behind or accompanying the portrait to highlight them. This gives a very good aspect to the drawing. As I mentioned in the previous paragraph, there is always something to learn, practice and the basics are essential for the improvement of the projects. This applies to any type of work.

As you can see the drawing is almost finished, I regret not having more images of the process to show you and explain more in detail.

Small details make the difference, always remember to leave the artistic detail that has your stamp as a painter, the idea is not to trace a photo. It is to capture the art and we already know that there are infinite ways to do it, I hope in a next post to detail more the tutorial. So that this one will be of better use.

Finally, I want to thank the platform because it is one of the best to showcase talents, and take advantage of them, always remember these three:
Discipline, Constancy and dedication.
