Steampunk Giraffe

in art •  7 years ago

Greetings fellow humans,

This is a giraffe I made for my grandmother a while back, and I finally got around to photographing it today. I wasn't sure what to do with the long neck area, and I eventually settled on a crane-like trussing, which I was fairly pleased with. The legs, body and head I did in a similar fashion to many of my other small animals. The whole piece is about 10 inches tall, and made of auto and agricultural parts as with much of my work.

Great piece! Love the idea of using the chain as a continuous back bone.
