SELF-PORTRAIT

This is my self-portrait I did when I was younger, at the age of about 23.
The cross-country is a sort of Tuscan landscape and in the mountains we also have a little bit of Switzerland.... the sky is calm with a few clouds and there is no wind.
I tried to make the subject, myself, as present as possible, concentrating mainly on the expression of the eyes.
It's an expression that tries to communicate with the people in front of them because when a person is gazing you, you have to look at him.
It is a static artwork, without gestures or actions, just to say: "I am here, this is me"!
As technique I used fusage and rubber.

Ciao cari amici!

Questo è il mio autoritratto che ho fatto quando ero più giovane, all'età di circa 23 anni.
Il fondo è una specie di paesaggio toscano e nelle montagne abbiamo anche un po' della Svizzera.... il cielo è sereno con qualche nuvoletta e non c'è vento.
Ho cercato di rendere il soggetto, cioè me stessa, il più presente possibile, concentrandomi sopratutto sull'espressione degli occhi.
È un'espressione che cerca di comunicare con chi ha davanti fissandolo perchè quando una persona ti fissa ti viene da guardarla.
È un quadro statico, senza gesti o azioni, solo per dire: "sono qui, questa sono io!"
Per quanto riguarda la tecnica ho utilizzato la fusaggine e la gomma pane.
