Vintage style repair of an old dresser. The state of the furniture before the restoration was not bad although the paint was in poor condition but had nothing broken, no insects.

I thought about removing the layers of paint he had and leaving it in original wood to re-apply varnish, so that it was the closest thing to the original piece of furniture. But unfortunately I could not do it because the part of the mirror was a later addition, the wood and format of it was different from the rest of the furniture, so I had to find a way to match it. I made a semi-decapation so that there were remains of original paint that were going to give it a relief on the interesting surface.

And this is the final result, some will like you more and others less, but there is one thing that is certain and is that you can always remove the paint completely and start from scratch because the furniture does not have any damage, only water-based paint . In fact it retains the original handles and mirror.
