”Ruins-Jerome, Arizona” 22”x30” (#2993) watercolor on Arches 300# paper
by Lee Gordon Seebach

Jerome was a wild west copper mining town and is now a tourist location and artists' colony. I spent a lot of time painting on location there. For this painting of one of the buildings from the old days on the side of Cleopatra Hill, I took a reference photo and created it in my studio.

What a great thing it is to be a painter living on a beautiful planet.

Thank you. I love painting Jerome. It's a great place with many interesting perspective challenges because the town is built on the side of a steep hill.

I love this!!

So glad...thank you @teddifer !

And about photo.. it has it's own magic when you observe an artist drawing something.
