A Realistic Portrait with Ordinary "B" Pencils.. Rate or Hate!!!

Hello Everyone,

20170601_125745.jpg

This is a portrait of myself I drew with just 4B, 5B and 8B pencil on simple paper and I will be showing you how I did the drawing from scratch..

First off I created the outline. when drawing I always start with the head basically from top to bottom. The outline was done with 4B, I would suggest you use a lighter pencil, was just short in supply. At this point don't expect it to look like the real drawing its just the starting. You can erase any mistake at this point.

Now I've added the first layer of shading. this is the light point which will get darker as i progress still using 4B which should be supported with a blending tool to make it smooth. Am a local artist so I use tissue paper rolls folded to fit my taste, I suggest you check YouTube if you don't get the blending part, will do a video soon hopefully.

Added more shading with 6B,4B and 8B, Actually used 10B to get the dark on the hair. The shading pattern was just like curves or you can say circle motion to get the hair-style look.
Shading and blending all the way to the finish point..
