Bizarre Earth Pyramids in the Alps in a glance

in art •  7 years ago

In the Otherworldly series, German photographer Kilian Schonberger captures these strange "earth pyramids" from South Tyrol in the Alps. He remained there from dawn until noon to capture dramatic rock formations. The rocks on top are moraine clay, deposited on the mountain since the Ice Age. Their solid material protects the soil from erosion, while the rest of the soil is swept away by rain. Follow Schonberger on Instagram.

It’s really incredible photography! Hats off to the photographer
