BORDALO II

Portugal Art from trash

I came here today to share with you guys this Portuguese artist, I saw some works from him in Lisbon and I can tell you that his work is amazing.

Bio

I was born in Lisbon, 1987. I belong to a generation that is extremely consumerist, materialist and greedy. With the production of things at its highest, the production of "waste" and unused objects is also at its highest. "Waste" is quoted because of its abstract definition: "one man's trash is another man's treasure". I create, recreate, assemble and develop ideas with end-of-life material and try to relate it to sustainability, ecological and social awareness.

WOWOWOWOW!! This art is truly stunning! I'm super impressed with his use of trash---something very kindred to my heart. I am truly grateful for your turning me on to this artist, and I hope he is in Lisbon, as well as his art when I get there in November. I really appreciate your sharing these magnificent works.
