Platform Maecenas announced the holding of the world's first art blockchain-auction.
In the summer of this year, Andy Warhol's "14 Small Electric Chairs" will be exhibited at an auction using the Ethereum blockchain system.
Digital certificates of partial ownership of a 49 percent share of the Warhol 1980 series will be sold through the Maecenas blockchain-platform using the ART token, bitcoin (BTC) or Ethereum (ETH).
Maecenas offers digital certificates that investors can then buy and trade on the exchange.
According to the company's press release, the reserve value of the picture is set at $ 4 million, all who wish to purchase it must undergo a KYC and AML check. As payment, the auction house accepts two cryptocurrencies - Bitcoin and Ethereum.
The project's cryptocurrency is used not only for the purchase of art objects. It was also included directly in art because in one of the series of paintings in the spring of this year there were hidden private keys for cryptocurrency wallets containing up to 9 thousand dollars each.
