Hey... it’s Art Week here & there is a lot going on...I will write detailed bits later but I had an ‘open studio’ last night & it was great to see so many familiar and new faces!
Alan Jacobs took this b/w photo at the end of the night... I love it.
I finished a LARGE custom portrait collage piece that worked out great- client is happy!
WARPAINT was tonight- bracket style drawing contest what you get a reandom theme to draw w/ another artist & audience votes on who moves forward.. I made it to the semi-finals & was out.
We used 12”x12 boards & had 20 minutes to draw from random picked themes.
First theme I got was Dinosaurs & Exercise...
Second theme was Fishing & Mountain
Final theme was State Fair & Mermaid
Sorry they are sideways.. 🤪
Tomorrow I am painting a mural for people to watch.. I’ll keep you posted..
