Steemit Photoshop Tennis FTW!

in art •  8 years ago

Almost a year ago, when the sky was filled with whales, Steemit was a youngling, and cats shot lasers from their paws, a great tournament took place, according to scripture.

During this fierce battle, water was turned to wine, and chuck Norris was turned...

... into 2 Chuck Norrises on 4x4s shooting upvotes under threat from laser shooting cats and a ubiquitous apparition of Bernie Sanders in the sky.

The tournament received 21 Upvotes, and thus was banished into history.

But yey, times haveth changeth..

So I wanted to ask you, dear readers. Who's up for some Photoshop Tennis?!

Also wondering how best it might be organised. Last years thread was quite messy, and the thread died before long.

My proposal is something along these lines:

  • that each round be given it's own thread
  • with the winner of the previous round creating the winning thread, (after, say 24 hours, or maybe 1 week)
  • Entries would be made in the comments
  • The winner would either be chosen by the OP, (or could be based simply on Upvotes.)
  • To increase incentive to entry, anyone who enters must also Upvote at least one other entry.

What do you think?

I'm very much open to suggestions, and will modify the concept based on discussion below.
Hoping to start a new game in the next 48 hours.

This is gonna be fun!

hahah, I'm absolutely in. I've been itching for a good chop since the last time I was asked to do one, made his beloved pet into Bruce Lee's cat-chuks, and then was never spoken to by that person again.
Sub-par quality, tally hoooooooo!

I think you are onto something here, make it so!

I love Photoshop tennis. Don't even care about money. Just would be so much fun having a regular Photoshop tennis thing going. Also a good way to get to know other creatives on Steemit. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for the format.

That is one amazing image with Bernie Sanders and Einstein.
I think this is a pretty good idea nd one that I can fit in with as I'm terrible with Photoshop

Even if you're no Photoshop expert, sometimes just basic superimposed stuff is still hilarious. I hope you get involved :)

If we don't have photoshop, would MS Paint be an acceptable substitute? I've got some sick MS paint skills.

Damn straight!

Then I'm in. Expect me to post some horrendously horrible shit.

Sounds perfect! Let me know if you have any suggestions for the format.

Do it! I'm in. My only concern is the upvotes. That can be manipulated pretty easily. Not sure how else to do it off the top of my head though.

BTW, I know it looks like Einstein, but could it also be Gad Saad??

Brilliant man! Please let me know if you have any suggestions for the format.

Ok, how about a 3 tier prize? Gold, silver, bronze? That way even if there is manipulation the best entry would still most likely be in the top 3. Make the rewards match closely so even if you won gold it wouldn't give you a huge payout over silver. Just a thought.

Great idea. Hopefully there is enough interest eventually to warrant a top 3 prize thing.

I'm on board, sign me up Jerry.

Brilliant. :) Let me know if you have any suggestions for the format!

This sounds like something that my subpar photoshop skills might actually be sufficient for. Great idea and I'd totally be in!

Let me know if you have any suggestions for the format.

Oh wow, this looks like fun! I can't really photoshop, but I'm looking forward to seeing what comes out of this.

Give it a go anyway! Sometimes the badly done Photoshop stuff is the funniest.

Let me know if you have any suggestions for the format!

That sounds like fun. When do you think you will start it?

Next couple of days. I'll let you know. Let me know if you have any suggestions for the format.

What you explained above sounds like a good plan. I think you should start each round though...not the winner

Yes, I was thinking it might be better if I run the contest, to keep things coherent. But I give all liquid rewards to each winner. Something like that.

@condra great post brother

Cheers JJ

Sounds like a great idea, I'd like to be in even if my Photoshop skills are not the best...
