Do you like beer? What about whiskey? How about beer aged in bourbon barrels? Meet Goose Island Beer Company's Bourbon County Stout.
They age the beer for 8 to 12 months in non-climate-control so that the wildly varying temperatures of Chicago cause the wood to expand and contract, releasing the trapped bourbon flavors into the beer.
They are now expanded into using wine barrels as well, using the variety of vintages to create exciting ranges of beer flavors.
