Tribute to Finney
A creative ode to Hal Finney - cryptograffiti's latest masterpiece; "Running Bitcoin" composes a portrait of the late BTC icon using fragments of credit cards mounted to a safety deposit box. A Cyber Punk OG, Finny is famous for his early contributions to the development of Bitcoin. He actually received the very first Bitcoin transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto on January 12, 2009. Finney passed away just few years later, in 2014.
The cryptograffiti tribute also directly taps into the blockchain by way of a Wi-Fi enabled Casa Node embedded behind the artwork. Running Bitcoin is truly, Running Bitcoin. To complete the touching piece - Finney's wife, Fran Finney, donated her husband's signature to complete the artwork (visible in the thumbnail image of this article).
