The short film "NEO NOW: A New Art Period" will be shown at the Bushwick Film Festival on October 13, followed by the panel Blockchain and The Future of Arts & Entertainment. The film centers around the artist Rah Crawford and the his creative integration with blockchain technology, including that with Ethereum-powered collecting platform and marketplace SuperRare.
Visual artist and creative pioneer Rah Crawford has teamed up with award winning videographers Jordan Hollender (from HollenderX2) and Jason Tanaka Blaney to capture the conceptual essence of his new art period called NEO NOW as an art-documentary short. It's interesting that they chose to title the film "Neo Now" since it discusses the integration of blockchain technology - specifically the ethereum platform. In the world of crypto it seems like the word Neo has a very strong association with the Neo blockchain brand so there is potential to be a sort of confusion there. I wonder how/why they chose to use that name? I know that the word neo is also associated with the concept of "new," still seems like an odd choice of words though. Nonetheless, sounds like an interesting project.
