The art world is a space of intellectual engagement. Sure, there is a fringe that cozies up to styles and trends. And a side that is purely materialist; only concerned with the touchy feely. But what engages the world of art most is the artist's take on the culture's sense of art. Art will always reflect that world.
Art has to have a significant grip on righteous indignation to keep the culture's attention. Right now that attitude is all about trust, and any art that has nothing to hide says volumes, or rather, blockchains about believability.
This conceptual art of the knot evolved before the personal computer, but found its medium in its Graphic User Interface. As ease of use shaped the evolution of electronic devices, this art involved itself in observing the trust in the increased complexity of personal devices as a class of object accepted on faith. During this whole birthing of the digital revolution, up to today, the conceptual art of the knot acted as interpretive graphics deciphering the ideas that define the underpinnings of this trust and identity.
For a half century, as trust in complex technology became common across the world, this art concept drew ever deeper into the task of clarifying technological advances by appropriating them into the idea of the knot. There is not one progression toward the virtual world of today the knot was not mirrored with its systemic cryptography.
Now, with the distribution of computing power across the Internet, and the blockchain technology that has evolved to make use of that, these knot concepts stand as more of a nexus than the proxy it had been acting as for so long. With all the clarity knots have grown to contain, they are universally unimpeachable as the future symbol for everything that has value.

Knots are observably immutable.
Every item in this registry is capable of fulfilling innumerable acts of becoming actual objects. Essentially, a knot, once created, is an eternal object. It is the actuation of it, demonstrated in nature here, built as a pilgrimage site, that fits the concept of property of a blockchain.
