 🌿 canvas, oil 60x80

In general, oil work is almost no different from acrylic. Especially for those who do not really understand. Unless the strength of me she pulls more. And time.

It is believed that the life of the artist is not easy, but the artists are strange.

The main feature of this profession is that when you paint a picture, you need to go beyond. This is a completely different state and dimension. The main thing is to be able to return to the real world. For this, there must be a cause and a motivation. I have three children who need to be raised, supported and directed, I want them to be happy, and this is what really keeps me.

Allowing yourself to live the life of an artist is a luxury.

To be an artist, you need courage. Pictures are not the bread that people eat every day, and therefore those who produce it will always be in demand. Pictures are spiritual food, not for everyone. Allowing yourself to live the life of an artist is a luxury.

Each of us, artists, writes and demonstrates, because it is his tool to grow in his own way.

It is interesting for me to write, show my pictures and sell, but not because I want to get rich faster, I’m interested to find out how relevant it is. Thus, I understand how strong, honest and talented I am. Now it becomes interesting for me to work in projects, on disk, disk. This is close to me, because the second moment for my purposes is to travel.

For the artist, it is important to keep the rhythm.

Some people say: "I have no inspiration now; I will write when this happens." If you sit and wait, it will never come. You have to walk and write every day, and inspiration can come to you or not come. Great, if not, you keep writing.

There is no inspiration. It is not true.

In my opinion, spiritual strength and creative growth are the usual components of a person who loves his work / hobby. And the time when you are tired, lazy or reworked is everyone.

Those famous artists (and other popular creative characters) whom we know for years have been painting their paintings not because there was no inspiration and they waited for the muse.

Many who abused alcohol and other drugs. And in general they were quite good parasites.

In such a state, a muse can come to them, of course.

for example

Picasso. He drank a lot and used drugs.

My favorite is Salvador Dali smoking opium.

Van Gogh. Treated alcohol addiction in a psychiatric clinic.

Modigliani. Opium and hashish.

Pyatnitsky. He drank a lot and died of an overdose of heroin.

Savrasov. He died of delirium tremens in a hospital for the poor.

For example, Stephen King, was an alcoholic and did not even remember how he wrote many of his novels.

And many of these, we study them in school.

Also, the list of suicides against the background of bad habits is huge.

Yesenin (drank a lot, hanged himself),

Mayakovsky (did not drink, but took heroin and shot himself), Tsvetaeva (hanged herself against the background of alcohol intoxication),

Jack London (poisoned himself with morphine).

Taken from the biography

Therefore, I create with and without inspiration. After all, in the end I love my job and the appetite comes with eating.

It doesn’t matter how long I have been an artist, how much I have been painting and what kind of pictures.

You either like me or not. There are people who are engaged in creativity all their life and are not known even in their own city, but there are those who are becoming everyone's favorites at a breakneck pace. No matter how much you do your favorite thing, it is important how! And most importantly, what you invest in it! The more you invest, the more you will return. Verified)

The process of writing a picture:

Almost all great artists worked in oils.

Their paintings and hundreds of years later look impressive. To achieve the same landscapes and oil painting, you need to know a lot of nuances of working with this material. This article will give only a glimpse of the technique of working with oil paints. A fundamental understanding and creation of your own style will intuitively develop as you write your masterpiece.

What are oil paints?

Before you start working with oil paints, it will not be inappropriate to find out that they are all a mixture of dry pigment and linseed oil, which dries and oxidizes in air. This oxidation causes the coloring agent to crystallize, therefore, after complete drying, the oil cannot be removed. The paints are packaged in metal tubes, of which they must be caught on the palette and mixed with the palette knife. Oil is a rather thick material. It is not easy for an unprepared person to cope with it for the first time.

A few tips for writing oil paintings

Tip 1: Always place the colors on the palette in the same order so that over time you can automatically choose the color, unconsciously.

Tip 2: The ratio of oil (base) should increase for each subsequent layer - this principle is known as "fat in the skin." Since the lower layers absorb the oil from the overlying ones, if the upper layer dries out faster than the lower layer, it can crack.

Tip 3: Avoid using “Soot Black Black” (“Ivory”) for undercoat and sketches, as it dries much longer than other oil paints.

Tip 4: Pigments containing lead, cobalt and manganese accelerate drying. They can be mixed with other colors to speed up the drying process, and they are ideal for lower layers. Paints for students usually contain cheaper alternatives to these pigments. As a rule, these colors have the word "shade" in the labeling.

Tip 5: For the lower layers and the lower layers in the technique of "dry dry" use paint based on linseed oil, like all base oils, it dries better.

Tip 6: Avoid using flaxseed oil as a base for white and cold tones, as it tends to turn yellow, especially in light shades. For light colors, it is recommended to apply poppy-based paints - it becomes less yellow, although it dries longer.

Tip 7: Do not dry oil paintings in a dark room. Because of this, a thin yellow film may appear on the surface (to return the original color, you need to set the image in the sun for several weeks).

Tip 8: If the paint frowns when drying on the palette, you have added too much oil.

Tip 9: If you are unsure whether it is safe to use white alcohol (solvent) for oil paint, put a small amount on a piece of paper and let it evaporate. If there is no sediment, stains or odor on the paper, everything will be fine.

Tip 10: To remove a layer of oil paint or varnish, use alcohol - this is a great solvent.

Tip 11: Remember that the paint can be used without solvents, using brush pressure to accurately distribute the paint, and base oil and clean the brush.
