Tuff trays

FB_IMG_1523469639658.jpg. For those of you are wondering what on earth I mean by a tuff tray, it's essentially a builders tray, or large tray you use for sensory play or small worlds. The possibility for creativity using one are almost endless, and a must have for a parent of an under 6 year old in my opinion. It keeps everything in one place, allowing the child to make their own little worlds in a small area without worrying about stepping on toys, and we all know how horrible that is. For this particular tuff tray activity, we used paper mache to create Mars. You can pick up small animal figures etc in charity shops easily to keep things cheap. The bonus is they get reused endlessly. By creating Mars we were able to use many different media and explore numerous materials, from painting to dying sand. For small children things like this are a wonderful learning opportunity, most of the brains development all happens by age five, and to young children play truly is learning.

Very cool. Who needs kids, I want a tray for myself!

They're available on amazon, definitely heeps of fun.

Ackk. I'll look elsewhere. I've given up on that Bezos monopoly for about two years now. Thanks though!

Ahh no problem, they have them in building supply shops often too. Hopefully that's helpful
