Here was the physical setup for this painting. The patina on this pot is awesome:

First stage. No drawing/block in. Straight to knife. Yep, living on the edge.

I used my 10x12 Open Box M pochade box for this painting. My old faithful long-lived companion. An excellent easel for small paintings, and glorious for travel. These days I use my Edge Pro Gear Paintbook more often. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages.
