My First Attempt at Artweaver

First attempt Artweaver.jpg

I asked lots of Steemians who post digital art for advice about what programs to use. Nobody answered me so I downloaded Artweaver.

This was my first attempt. Just trying it out.

I'll do better next time.

you are drawing with the mouse though Dee?

I bought an incredibly cheap graphics tablet from Amazon.

The cheap ones are really good, but don't play well with most programs apart from Photoshop and Painter, because that's the programs they build them to work with.

I can help you, I never saw your posts where you were asking for advice.

I know a bit about most of the options, although almost nothing about Artweaver.

I would, as did the other commentator, recommend the open source trio of the Gimp, Krita, and Inkscape.

anyway, the brand I bought is UGEE but if you wanted to use Krita, you would be better off with one from their known to work list, such as Huion.

If you want some help, reach out to me.

Thank you for reading my post and answering it. I asked for advice in replies to ppl who posted digital art so you wouldn't have seen unless you happened to view their posts too.

Yes, I used a mouse. Artweaver and Paint 3D were recommended online so I tried them out.

Anyway, I will get onto Gimp, Krita and Inkscape over the weekend and look at UGEE and Huion.

Wow, so much to look at. Thank you for helping me.

I will take you up on the offer of help no doubt, in the future.

yes, I bought my Graphics tablet without realising about the list that I showed you.
Because I think Krita would be the best painting program.
I can make it work in Krita but it is glitchy.
It works without pressure sensitivity in the Gimp, until the Gimp goes to version 3.01, when they are going to support the standards better.
And it works great in Inkscape.
I would take those programs one at a time.

Maybe start with the Gimp, as it's an all purpose image manipulation program, useful for all sorts of tasks.
Krita is a digital painting program, with some animation capabilities and Inkscape is a vector graphics program.

It may be overwhelming to start with all of them at once.

Thank you. I'll do that. I'll take it slowly. I have so much to learn.

I had a go on Krita
I think it is an improvement although I can't afford the graphics tablet yet. I'll keep trying. Thank you for your help.

Try Krita and Gimp, you might like it

Thank you so much. I will get on to that over the weekend. Wow, I'm so pleased to have some advice, woopee :)
