In this image, I contrast the corpse of a boy who died in some horrible war with a field of flowers, some of them blood red. I produced this simple collage during the time of the Gulf War, which I listened to live on Radio 4... and I would hear these talking heads from the army and these apologists for that bloody war talking about "collateral damage", which was a hideous euphemism for those who died but were not enemy combatants... people like you and me, just going about our every day business... or trying to (because having your city or town bombed to smithereens is not really "every day")... and people like our children.
This dead child is your child. This dead child is my child. We should be weeping for him!
war is disgusting / peace
