First Figure Drawing

In February of 2016 I attended my first figure drawing session with a live model. The experience is so much better than drawing from photo references.

For one thing, shadows and curves are easier to detect in three dimensions than two.

I hate the quality of the scans, I think they may have been photos from my phone. But the drawings themselves are quite good I think for a first time.

I’m posting every painting I have ever done from 2014 to the present, the good, the bad, and the ugly. With an occasional photograph or sketch thrown in just to mix things up. Check back daily to see my progression as an “artist”!
