In The Box, Acrylic on Paper, 2016

I forgot about this one for a long time. I used to scan my paintings almost as soon as I painted them, but this one was forgotten in my book until a few months ago when I was flipping through and realized I didn’t remember it.

The positioning of the figure is a bit odd. Centering is generally frowned upon, but this almost more jarring.

As for the figure itself, it’s passable for the time period. I was still learning how to shade, and hands and feet were always hit or miss.

I love the box, and the walls.

I’m posting every painting I have ever done from 2014 to the present, the good, the bad, and the ugly. With an occasional photograph or sketch thrown in just to mix things up. Check back daily to see my progression as an “artist”!
