Spruces, Acrylic on Paper, 2015
An early landscape. Those are some thick logs, all the way to the top.
It’s not unpleasant, but meh.
My mom harassed me the whole Christmas break about why I paint "naked people". I said it's because I am good at it. She said "but you're good at landscapes."
I have to laugh at that. Perhaps I have gotten lucky and painted a few decent landscapes, but this is exhibit "a" why I prefer painting and drawing people.
Besides, every good artist worth his salt needs to master the human figure. Even if it means putting naked people in "unusual" circumstances.
I’m posting every painting I have ever done from 2014 to the present, the good, the bad, and the ugly. With an occasional photograph or sketch thrown in just to mix things up. Check back daily to see my progression as an “artist”!
