Swimming, Acrylic on Canvas, 2015

I painted this to go along with “Fishing” but this is on canvas. And the figures came out much much better. The background is simple, and while I wasn’t sure about it in “Fishing” I like the way it came out here. I can’t think of much that I would do too differently. I would change the head and neck of the central figure. And I’m not quite certain of the diver’s position. I don’t know what position the body would be in at this point of a dive. I suppose it could be completely accurate, but it looks like she might just be rolling over into a back flop. Ouch.

I’m posting every painting I have ever done from 2014 to the present, the good, the bad, and the ugly. With an occasional photograph or sketch thrown in just to mix things up. Check back daily to see my progression as an “artist”!
