A tribute for my Grandma.

She's my second mother , one of the strongest woman I have ever met. since I was just a toddler she never let me go to the wrong way of life. All of the golden advices that she said was mark down to my mind. But life always has an end, even if we dont like it but it is our destiny. Even if it is hard to accept the fact that one day our love ones will leave us.

My Grandma just pass away , I have been the witnessed of her deteriorating body, She was diagnosed to have a liquid in her lungs making it difficult for her to breath.

She was confined to a hospital and we thought that it would turn out to be okay. The doctor ask permission to make a hole under here armpit for the liquid to be remove. after the operation her body continues to deteriorate.

Its hard to see her suffer but we cant do anything, we continued to buy medication for her to survive. But her body gave up, it might be hard to accept but we know shes in the good hand now.

As a tribute for my lola i made a poem and i tried to make her a portrait. hope you like it lola.

                                   THIS POEM IS FOR HER

                                            LOLA

                      You were my second mother , And one of the best
                       woman I have ever met , strong loving and kind
                      Grandmother , every kid would love to have in life
                      I am one of the witnessed of the things you've done

                     Things we can be proud of as your grandchildren
                      for years that we've been celebrating together
                      Christmas and New Years that we've encountered a lot
                      But things change , always for good but sometimes for worse

                      we all expect but wasn't ready to accept
                      the days that your body wont let you take control
                       We might be smiling, for you to see were happy
                       But inside , A voice is crying for miracles.

                       You don't want but , the hospital was your new home
                       The doctors gave medication but you resist
                        No , your body did resist ,it knows its about time
                        time to rest and quit for the life's competition

                        I saw mamas eyes were cloudy , holding that tube
                        connected to your lungs that will help you breath
                       one , two , three and four numbers I don't want to hear
                        It makes that feeling that something terrible , will

                        And yes it happen , message from mama saying
                        things , In my whole life I cant , and never accept
                        But its a cycle that everybody needs to accept
                        Accept the fact that life itself will become death

                        But death isn't the end  for you , for there is God
                        Waiting for your return , reuniting with his child
                        that he once let to taste the life of men.
                        Yet you will always be in our hearts , lola

I also made her a portrait it might not be that good due to some negative emotion , but I guess I did my best :)

First i made a sketch of the shape of her face

then I layered it with a flesh colored colorpencil

then I just continue to color until i was quite sure its done :)

For all steemians we should love and take care our family especially the elders , we would not know how or when will they leave , as long as they are healthy lets spend time with them before its too late :)

I hope lola will be happy together with our God , may her soul will rest in peace ,
