What It Takes To Make A Book As An Artist By EdgarsArt

I guess i can speak for many artists when i say that if you can make a book involving your art, then it is one of the most precious things in the world. A book itself is a masterpiece. I personally think that a book is the greatest thing in the world, and i really love the quote i saw years back when it was something like this:
You can not make 5 dollars turn into a million dollars, but you can buy a book for 5 dollars which will then make you millions of dollars. The importance of reading itself is not measurable and the information and the wisdom you can get from books is sometimes the only tool you need.

In my life i have had different moments. I was not reading a lot actually. I was more of a movie person. I love history and i love documentary films. I have watched almost every film about history. I have read books about history. I remember that years years back before my history exam in the 9th grade i read around 20 books in 2 months. All of them were about history. The history teacher gave me some rare books, some really valuable ones.
Later when i started to make art more, i left the reading behind. The one person who brought me back to reading was my girlfriend at the time. She really made me to see the value again, because she was reading herself. With no pauses and reading was something she valued more than anything else. And i was kind of a sceptical at first, but later as i really allowed her opinion to have some influence on me, i opened up, and i got that energy boost. That spiritual feeling when you feel uplifted. And after that i never looked back. To this day now i can not imagine my days without reading. It helps me artistically and just personally.

In the end of 2017. i had some time with the writer with who i have worked on many different projects before. She has a thought of making a book. She writes stories and i draw illustrations. It would my dream to achieve this goal. Just might be the biggest success in my artistic life. Just because i now understand the value of books. I give enormous credit to my girlfriend for bringing up this passion i have now and to have this book project to actually come true would be the biggest thing in my life so far. I know i would have to put the hard work on it and everything the technical aspects too, but it does not scare me, because the work itself and the result which can be achieved in the end is more important than any work i would need to put in.
I would love to know which books are you reading? I have little experience actually because i am still catching up those people who are reading about 100 books a year, but i am slowly getting there, and i do appreciate the benefit you can get from it.
Below i have one book which to this day is the only one with my works in it. So i have some results already, but at that time i did not understand the value of it and now i want to go forward and do another project.
