Stealing and not understanding the role of what an artists role is, is the problem here besides not having a good schooling in the arts.

Creativity is a BS word, you can be creative washing dishes...art requires skill, soul and having something to say...

I feel ashamed...that a Canadian artist who professes to care about the plight of Natives in North America thinks stealing and selling their images is helpful...this girl is totally deluded.

As soon as I saw Amanda's art the first time, I wanted to warn her to stop and find herself...but as I already have made many enemies with my mouth (as the steemers who read me know) I thought I wouldn't, and I am sorry I didn't, because she wouldn't be experiencing this humiliation now...

You can learn many styles...BUT in the end you need your own or you should work in an office or factory and not glut the world with phony images..but if you have nothing to say from deep within yourself you really should quit art and do something else!

Folk art is different from contemporary art! If you want to introduce it into your art work you need to look at the symbology of earth traditions where you are from...not appropriate other people's symbols that come from their hearts. Norval Morrisseau originated these symbols based on his heart and stories from his grandparents. He is the father of the Woodland School of art. If you want to contribute to Native Culture you should become a social worker or sell real natives art work to help them out...as I have in the past!
