After a short break we have come to our Fifth Installment in our series of "10 Amazing Visionary Artists You've Probably Never Heard Of".
As a member of the Visionary Community I have had the great privilege of discovering underrepresented artists that are pushing the boundaries of artistic possibility. It is a great honor to bring these creative titans and titaness' to Steemit and embed them in the blockchain forever. Behold :)
A. Andrew Gonzales
About
The work of internationally renowned artist A. Andrew Gonzalez can be found in museums, galleries and collections. He's known for the unique sculptural look of his paintings, as well as their power to move and inspire the viewer.
The art of painting is usually an additive process, in which layer after layer builds an image. Gonzalez turns this on its head using a subtractive process developed through years of trial and error. His technique involves a gesso-like surface, transparent paints and, most surprisingly, an array of erasers.
The artist describes his style as "a revival of the Pre-Raphaelite aesthetic" and "mystical love poems to the soul". His focus is on the figure as both temple and vessel, sublimed by transformative forces. He captures his subjects suspended in an ecstatic moment; poised on the threshold of a new birth. -http://sublimatrix.com/html/biography.html

Luis Tamani
About
Luis Tamani is a Peruvian artist from the Amazonian rainforest. Born in 1983, he grew up on the banks of the Ucayali River, in Pucallpa. His imagination was nourished by the richness of the bioregion; he was surrounded by all the elements offered by the Earth.
He studied in the art school of his native city, Eduardo Meza Saravia. During five years he received a very academic training. At the end of this cycle, he used to practice Abstract Art, making the fusion between texture and shape.
This is when he got connected to the Sacred Medicine of his ancestors that he starts painting his own visions, in a very magical way. Today, his art represents the communion between man, plant and animal kingdoms. He is amazed by the deep relationship that man can develop with plants and animals; what makes the Human a unique being, full of magical capacities.
Luis Tamani started by showing his artworks during the shamanic meetings of the city of Iquitos (Loreto, Peru). After having presented his art across Europe, he is now open to the whole world for sharing his visions of Life. -https://www.luis-tamani.com/contact-cicd

Gabriel Welch
About
Gabriel Welch was born in Visalia, CA into a family of clowns, constantly doodling on paper his Mother would give him the nickname “Doodles the Clown”. He would grow up watching his father paint christmas windows, murals, art and signs as well as selling comic books and other goods at the local swap meet. Comics would inspire him to be an illustrator in his younger years as he would teach himself how to pencil, ink and color by looking up to the masters of the comic craft. He would later move his art into the streets to embark into a much more fast paced action style of painting and learn the calligraphy of handstyles on the run. In his early twenties he began a journey into the world of painting and sculpting while simultaneously giving much attention to developing his quick black marker tags and aerosol art out in the public along with crafting elaborate multi colored stencil projects to brighten up the city.
Gabriel paints in a wide range of styles, from Art Nouveau and beautiful women to abstract future expressionism, surreal landscapes and powerful totem animals, architectural graffiti and wicked wild styled worlds. His paintings have a shamanic trance like state that let’s you know he has peaked through the veil of this reality and paints in a wild induced fever to bring back glimpses of those inner or outer dimensions. An almost childlike innocence is even portrayed in some of his themes. He paints with a focused speed and manic intensity that is real joy to watch live.
Gabriel would also spend a year living and painting with his brother Jeremiah more commonly known as The Welch Brothers and would tour the country together painting wherever they went. It’s really special to watch these two brothers paint together as they melt their styles seamlessly to create new and fresh combinations. These brothers will continue to push the boundaries for years to come. Recently their sister Sarah has begun painting with her brothers as well to form an even bigger family bond. It is with the support of many friends and art lovers that the artist is able to continue on the path of the dreamer, drifting like a cloud through a pale blue sky. -http://gabrielwelch.com/biography/

Olga Klimova
http://www.olgaklimova.com/art
About
Olga Klimova started creating art as a result of mystical experiences followed by a practice of Vipassana meditation. She joined the new wave of visionary artists who emphasize creativity as a catalyst for personal transformation and social change.
Many forms of visual expression were chosen to manifest the vision. Having gotten classical art school background during her childhood in Russia, Olga created WizArt Visions, a New York based deco studio which has developed numerous backdrops, fabric installations and stage settings for the festival scene.
In 2012 Olga came to Italy, where she studied with Amanda Sage, Laurence Caruana, Andrew Gonzalez and Maura Holden. Through the deepening of her meditative practice and this new approach to oil painting, she was able to discover the whole new dimension in expressing her vision. Her artwork became more spontaneous, intuitive and vibrant.
Today, Olga travels North America with her installations, exhibits her art internationally, teaches in Europe and USA while maintaining her studio in New York. In 2015 she became one of the instructors of the Vienna Academy of Visionary Art.
Lucid dreams, channeled visions and meditation continue to inspire her work, which seeks to evoke the feeling of our deep interconnectedness. “…Putting the mind aside and trusting the flow of creation, listening to what is unfolding in front of the eyes and one’s own subconscious, not trying to control what’s happening and letting go – all are very useful skills not only during painting,” she says, “but in life.” -http://www.olgaklimova.com/about1

Jake Amason
https://apexcollective.com/jakeamason/
About
Jake Amason is an acrylic painter from Denver, Colorado. He studied computer graphics and 3D animation for several years before deciding to drop out because of a new addiction to paint arising from long render times that consumed his slow computer. Jake considers Photoshop to be his art teacher and taught him a visual language that prepared him for traditional media. Through sculpting in 3D programs such as Maya, Cinema 4D and ZBrush, he gained experience manipulating massive dimensional virtual worlds compressed into a two-dimensional plane before ever touching the canvas. These environmental textures and understanding of dramatic depth are used in rhythmic patterns to direct the eye through the space over time to animate a still image. -https://apexcollective.com/jakeamason/

Manafold Art
https://www.facebook.com/ManafoldArt/
About
Manafold art is a master visionary artist who uses divine inspiration to create portals that reflect the true nature of the psychedelic realm. Manafold’s style specialises in Technicolor fractal graphics, themes of unity with nature, embedded with visions of astral beings and mystical places.
Manafold grew up on the sunny shores of the Central Coast of Australia. Coming from a photo manipulation background, she started learning and working with fractals and instantly fell in love with the passion and process of creating new art. She decided to master and mix the two styles into her own brand and style of artwork, as her work is created from an intuitive, self aware, other worldly, and experimental state of mind. She is inspired by her own mystical experiences, with her connection to nature, the protection and enhancement of the environment, and with the passion of love and bliss infused within her daily life experiences on a personal level. Manafold prefers to approach her artwork in a digital format, but also has skills in more traditional styles of painting. Besides finding her artwork on her website, Manafold has also recently teamed up with a clothing manufacturer to create an original line of fractal clothing called ‘Psyte Clothing’. - https://society6.com/manafold

Mugwort
http://www.mugwortdesigns.com/
About
Mugwort (Isaac Mills) is a digital artist and designer embarking on unique explorations into the realms of creativity. Using artistic expression as a vehicle for spiritual exploration, he believes that though art and imagination we can deepen our understanding of ourselves, our interconnectedness with all things, and inspire social change. The name ‘Mugwort’ derives from the plant Mugwort Artemisia, a herb used since ancient times to enhance lucid dreaming and astral projection. He explores a multitude of artistic approaches and mediums; from digital painting, illustration, large-scale installations and live audio-visual performance, he increasingly taps into the dynamic potential of digital media. Much of his gallery work is thematically centred on transformation, archetypal forces, shifting paradigms, animals, and shamanic symbolism. Hailing from the east coast of Canada, Mugwort migrated to the forested shores of the west coast where he currently resides. His art has been displayed at galleries and festivals all across Canada, the US, Europe and Australia.
“I seek to represent imaginal journeys and dreams as crystallized visions, in order to help remind the waking world of the dreaming. Practicing visual art since early childhood, drawing and painting have always been natural outlets. When I switched to digital painting in 2009, I discovered that with this new medium I was able to portray my visions more accurately, in higher resolution.
Many of my pieces start as concept sketches of ideas or visions I’ve had, and evolve into to finished images through a dynamic creative evolution. I use several programs and a wide variety of digital techniques and custom tools, relying on my sense of composition, balance, and narrative. By employing a synthesis of drawing, digital painting, graphic design, and sampling, I rely on intuition to guide the ascetic evolution of an image. I am drawn towards archetypal imagery with narrative potency, and imagery that is highly textured and patterned. The Wacom tablet is my preferred tool. My inspirations come from my dreams, epiphanies, moments of lucidity in everyday life, nature, sound and love.” ~ Mugwort -http://www.mugwortdesigns.com/about
