"Sunny Nihilism" Original Word Art, Inspired by @drwatsonsteemCreated with Sketch.

in art •  7 years ago

Not long ago, I posted some of my recent test sketches.

In that post, a misread by @drwatson turned into inspiration to create this word art in a style which I have termed sunny nihilism. While I certainly was an angsty little sh*t in my younger days, I have since mellowed and aged better than a fine bourbon.

I had a lot of fun with this little project, and

I have @drwatson to thank

entirely for unearthing the sunny nihilism word art concept from the garden of my mind. ❤

(THANK YOU)

Love it - every bright side has a dark side! (Just like every silver lining has a cloud...)

Reminds me a bit of Hyperbole and a Half.

Thank you again now for guiding me to a good laugh before bed. That dinosaur story is an instant classic!

She's really hilarious. I was glad when I saw that she had a book out and has found some success.

Truly hilarious women can be so difficult to find. I'm going to have to check out her paper publication! It's been a grip since I've read a humor book. Thanks for leaving me this breadcrumb on my literary trail.

Damnit, I am so mad I missed this! This was back before I knew how to check if I'd been tagged in anything. So sorry I was such a bum!

Lol! It's no worries. Better late than never. BTW, do you use steemit more info or something else to see your mentions?

I've been trying to use the steemify app, which does alert me, but the notifications seem to disappear when I open the app up...I need to find a better solution. What do you use?

To be honest I haven't used many steemit tools. I have used the browser extension Steemit More Info in the past. It offers some useful features, like "Votes-Mentions" tabs grouped with the "Blog-Comments-Replies-Rewards" tabs and a dynamic timeline that shows posts and resteems by day.

I don't use it because I'm not a fan of the live side-by-side preview it displays while creating a post. It doesn't scale the scrollbar so things get out of whack between the preview and what's being typed/uploaded and a lot of scrolling has to be done before everything is said and done.

I think most of us can agree steemit still has room to grow in certain areas. ☺
