I am working on a design for Steemporium. It's titled Steemizens and it will portray a general class sytem of Steemits users, using the following ladder:
I have shown you The Whale yesterday, today it's time to show you the next evolution in ranking (according to me, there's no exact science or 100% agreed upon ladder). So, today, I present you, The Witness.
The Witness
If your level of commitment to the Steem Blockchain is so high that you want to make sure it keeps on going, you become a witness. A witness is voted for by the other steemizens and as such, is not perse bigger than a whale (as the ladder in this series would suggest). But since the entire chain would break without the witnesses, they are the grandest, most needed steemizens of all. The make sure the rest of us can swim along at a leasurely pace, while they make sure their nodes are kept up and running to produce blocks for our little pond.
