Drawing and Breakfast

Top of the morning to y'all! how are you today?

This one I drew a couple of days ago but since drawing and breakfast (enfrijoladas if you are wonderng) is also the plan today, I figured its fair game.

The process

I've seen other artist show their process and I love it. Alas I won't be able to do it all the time because most days I get so into drawing I forget to take wip pics.

I started with a "pencil" sketch. I had a 2B solid graphite woodless pencil from karst that I sharpened sort of flat around, so I used that for a rough sketch.

I used that as my guide to do the line work, and I started hatching (with a sakura micron 005 fineliner which I'm in love with). I don't usually do cross-hatching because I useless and have not figured out how to do it properly so it'll look flat -- aaaah the joys of being a self taught artist. So of course for me this sounds like a good enough reason to practice it, right? so I tried for broke

Then its a matter of hatching the rest of the shadows ant adding the details.

All that's left is to clean up by erasing the underdrawing.

The result

And thats it!
