This painting was inspired by our trip to Yosimite, and it was my first time to travel to such a beautiful paradise. This place is full of inspiration. I took a lot of pictures that i could use as subjects to my paintings, i highly recommend everyone to add this to your bucket list if you haven’t been here before and its also near the redwood trees which are one of the oldest and tallest trees in the world

its like going inside a painting but the artist is God

Yosimite is on the top of my list

not only are these gigantic granite stones awesome, but almost every corner you look, there’s another waterfall. And also the park itself is tour friendly, every nice spots are along th road, and it takes an hour or 2 to drive the whole are, including stop overs and picture taking.

this towering granite is called Cathedral Rock and used it as my subject

You can never go wrong with nature,

once you connect with it, nature can absorb all your worries and depression. I feel life is so easy when im in nature, Inspiration comes automatically, aches and pain tend to be healed for a moment, a dose of nature goes a long way.

here is another angle of Cathedral rock, if you could compare the size of a person in the right corner to the granite rock. It’s humongous that i stand in awe!!!

Excellent job with the reflections, Yosemite looks so beautiful, I've always wanted to go there. You would probably really enjoy the work of the Hudson River School artist of the late 19th and early 20th century. They spent some time depicting Yosemite. My favorite of the school is Albert Bierstadt.

Thank you @pennyroll i will for sure check that out, i miss Yosimite already i hope to go there soon

Wow, Amazing.

Thank you!

Cool how much detail you put into the Cathedral Rock painting!

Thanks @bronkong appreciate it

The painting is excellent! Do you take photos of a scene to paint?

I just meant do you base your paintings off of photos...
