It's been a while since I've done an update on my puppy Slushy. So far he has been doing quite well. He's picking up on some commands while still stealing my left shoe. He's having a little trouble controlling himself around animals but he is very kind around other humans. We wanted to make sure he can behave alone around children and he can. He's pretty vocal and opportunistic at times but he's still a good boy.
He is a little spoiled. He tends to sleep with me in bed or he'll sleep under the bed if the room is too cold. He does eat regular dog food but I do feed him some good food whenever I can. It still hasn't been a year yet, but he's doing great!
They should be spoiled! You need to be the leader of his pack, then if you accept new people, he will to. He has to decide you are, and with him sleeping with you or under the bed, he has. Every dog has to have 'his' job in the pack, mine guards me...day and night! Sounds like this one is doing the same job by sleeping under your bed. With that 'job' comes security, because he Knows what he is supposed to do! Encourage it, and praise him when he gets it right; and he will be one happy mutt.
