Jellyfish. My sketchbook artwork

in art •  6 years ago

Jellyfish is like a shark)
No, it’s not so scary and not always dangerous (although there are very poisonous species). But I'm not talking about that.

In jellyfish, like a shark, there is no indifferent public. They are either admired or rejected. Because of fear or disgust.

I choose admiration, although as a child I, until the last, could not believe my mother that these small transparent lumps can injure my skin so much.
After the next episodes with jellyfish, I waited for sleepless, disgusting nights. My hands were burning and itching.
But I could look at them in great detail in real time, and not in the photo or during a trip to the oceanarium.

Really amazing, complex creation. When it moves, it is a little hypnotizing.

I really wanted to convey the lightness and dynamics in the figure.

In my opinion, it turned out quite well) What do you think?

What do you think about jellyfish?

How to cope with unpleasant sensations after the bites of these sea beauties?)

I thought you were going to say that a jellyfish is like a shark because neither of them has any bones :-)

I approached this topic more lyrically)))

You must be forgiving of us barbarians :-)

I think jellyfishes are both beautiful and very terrifying but also very beautiful :D I drew a series of jellyfishes persona earlier this year and I got to learn the many variety of jellyfishes :D They fascinate me!

A lovely drawing of a jellyfish you have made, @extractum-lunae <3 I like how you draw the tendrils and I like how you did the shading, as well <3

Thank you very much! I fully share your opinion) These are alluring, but dangerous creatures. I think that this is a very tricky idea of nature, to create it sweet and somewhat harmless at first))

Awesome sketch, won't pretend like I know anything about art lol but I was once stung by a jellyfish as a kid, don't remember much, just remember my parents freaking out about it

Very nice sketch. It seems my life is full of jellyfish lately. I saw one at the beach recently, and I made tea this afternoon with slices of lemon, and one of those lemons looked so much like a jellyfish once it started to fall apart a bit. I should have taken a picture :)

So true about the fear and disgust people experience. And yet they are so beautiful.

Wow) I understand that it sounds funny, but maybe the Universe wants to tell you something?))
Not scary, I think you still make good photos of these beauties! I would love to see them. I think jellyfish-lemon is very cute)

this is awesome art, especially the fact that it is a sketch I really love this, well done

Thank you very much)) I think that the guarantee of a good sketch is inspiration or love for the subject you are painting. Jellyfish conquered my heart)

I love the way you added contours on the top of the fish. It creates textures and brings out the beauty of the work. Likewise the regurgitated and curly lines.
