Artist of the Day - Week 5, Day 1 ~ @itravelarts

After a week of rest and rejuvenation, we are back with a fresh week of highlighting deserving artists on a daily basis. Welcome to our week five!

We are still small and young but we intend on expanding as we give this community artists a platform to shine in every supportive post we put out.

What would life be without art? A dull, meaningless existence.

What would art be without life? An empty, white canvas.

To start off our week 5- Meet Swati. She says she comes from the land of palaces and colourful festivities, Rajasthan. Swati is mixed media artist and as her handle @itravelarts suggests, she travels. Her studies have taken her all the way to Europe and her work as a designer to places like New Zealand and Australia.

Her art includes photography, sketches and paintings. She draws her inspiration from what's around her or what comes from within her.

This is her latest abstract painting, 'On the other side' embodys a goddess, a strange looking bird and a 'curled up man'.
