Season Greetings from @foladavid Merry Christmas and Happy new year in advance. I prepared myself even more harder this time to shared with you my newest art drawing which I drew for my client few days ago before the Christmas day. I have this to say before showing my few steps.
It starts when children are young: the moment a child is born, relatives start comparing sibling's skin colour. It starts in your own family- but people don't want to talk about it openly. Even in some hospitals where I have worked in.
Growing up, the prettier, Skinner and fairer girls are positioned at the front of the stage. The mindset is so normalised that many people accept fairness treatments as a standard part of wedding preparations
Do you know that your skin colour is darker for very good evolutionary and biological reasons and that medically speaking, it is good that you do not have very fair skin? The more melanin you have, the darker your skin. And the safer you are! Melanin along other factors, acts as a " natural umbrella " and prevents harmful radiation from entering your skin. You are less prone to sunburns. You do not experience photoaging #blackdontcrack and you are less prone to Skin cancers. Embrace your skin colour! Don't spend your money bleaching or on whitening or lightening creams.
