宝物のスケッチの山

Sometimes I feel frustrated because of a sudden lack of ideas. 

いいアイディアが浮かばなくて、困ることがあります。

Looks kind of like this:

That's when I start looking for the rough sketches and under drawings. These usually give me some energy to try either something old or give me a hint to make something new.

そういう時に昔のスケッチブックたちを掘り出します。

ほとんどバラバラですが。。。タイムスリップしたように昔の自分あるいは数日前の自分と出会うのです。「前の自分にだけは負けたくない」とエネルギーが湧くと。。。

昔に描きたかった、でも描けなかったアイディアに挑戦したり、何かヒントをもらったりします。

When I have enough time and I'm not lazy ;) I try to copy each of them or trace before inking. Quite often I would give the finished illustrations away to friends. 

時間がある時は必ずスケッチとトレースをします。怠けて、ストレートにペン入れすることもありますが、失敗することもあります（＊＊；）。またできたイラストをよく友人に送ったりしますので、スケッチが残るとペン入れにいつも挑戦できます。

The rough sketch then works as a blueprint and I can trace and ink it again. 

But still no two inked drawings would be exactly the same :)   

もう一回ペン入りしても、全く同じものになりますんが　f＾＾；
